According to Harris County Precinct 4 deputies, an 18-year-old confined a 6-year-old inside a dryer and is now facing child endangerment charges.
A judge increased 18-year-old Haven Duncan’s bond from $10,000 to $75,000 when he appeared in court on Wednesday morning. In relation to the case, two additional individuals were also taken into custody.
More information regarding the event surfaced during Duncan’s appearance in probable cause court on Tuesday. On Monday, this occurred at a laundry on Kuykendahl Road, which is located just west of the North Freeway.
The court said the toddler lost a bag of chips and became angry. Duncan can be seen putting the 6-year-old in the dryer on the laundry’s video. The judge explained the involvement of the other two people who were arrested.
“Mr. Gill, Jagory puts money in and turns on the dryer, and one of the others—I think it’s Life Ford—helps you keep the door closed. The judge read aloud, “This is allegedly captured on video, and the dryer ran for about a minute before the child was removed.”
As this occurred, witnesses contacted law enforcement and emergency medical services, according to Precinct 4.
According to Precinct 4, the toddler was screaming and trembling when deputies arrived on the scene. One of the males attempted to escape while deputies attempted to apprehend the three accused.
According to Pct. 4, Ford moved forward and shoved one of the deputies when they attempted to pursue him. They arrested her.
Duncan, who was also carrying a gun, was taken into custody by deputies, according to Pct. 4. A perimeter was established, and the fugitive, Jaqory Gill, was apprehended.
Gill was accused of making an escape on foot. A $100 bond was imposed for him. Ford was accused of interfering with a public servant’s duty. A $100 bond was established for her.
