A Tornado Watch has been issued for the entire viewing area in the Ohio Valley. It is set to be in effect from 10:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday afternoon.

Get ready for some thunderstorms rolling in later today as a line of storms is forecasted to pass through the area during the early afternoon before a cold front arrives.

The skies have cleared somewhat as we progress through the late morning, causing instability levels to increase.

Get ready for a fast-moving squall line that is forecasted to sweep through the region, bringing with it strong gusty winds and the potential for a few spin-up tornadoes hidden within.

The most significant danger of tornadoes is expected in Western Pennsylvania, but our region is right on the edge of the high-risk zone.

In Ohio, the counties currently being monitored are Belmont, Coshocton, Jefferson, Noble, Carroll, Guernsey, Monroe, Tuscarawas, Columbiana, Harrison, and Muskingum.

In the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, keep an eye on Brooke, Ohio, Hancock, and Marshall counties.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for several Pennsylvania counties, including Allegheny, Washington, Fayette, Westmoreland, and Greene.

Stay alert to the weather conditions, and if a tornado warning is issued, seek shelter in your basement until it is lifted.

If you don’t have a basement, head to an interior room on the lowest level of your house that doesn’t have windows or a shared outside wall.

The NWS warns that individuals without shelter face a considerable risk from flying debris.

Mobile homes could suffer damage or even be destroyed during a storm. Additionally, roofs, windows, and vehicles are at risk of being damaged, and there is a possibility of trees being impacted as well.

Weather enthusiasts are encouraged to report any noteworthy weather conditions according to Standard Operating Procedures.
