On December 13, 2024, tragedy struck when Faridah Davis, a 45-year-old woman, was fatally shot. The Houston Police Department provided the details of the scene where the incident took place.
Two teenagers, aged 16, have been taken into custody and are facing charges of murder and aggravated assault following a fatal shooting incident in northeast Houston. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on December 13th.
According to the police, Faridah Davis, a 45-year-old woman, was with her husband when she tragically lost her life in a shooting incident.
Upon their arrival at a convenience store located at 4718 Lockwood Drive, the police discovered Davis in an unresponsive state, seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, having sustained a gunshot wound. She was promptly transported to the hospital, where tragically, she succumbed to her injuries.

According to the investigation, Davis was driving to the store with her husband seated beside her. While her husband briefly entered the store and was later asked to leave by an employee, shots were unexpectedly fired at their vehicle as they were leaving the parking lot.
After the vehicle came to a brief halt, the husband swiftly exited and fled from the scene, while a second assailant fired gunshots at him.
The two shooters fled from the scene.
The husband and two other family members, who were seated in the back of the vehicle, remained unharmed.

The suspects
On December 14, surveillance photos of the two shooters were made public.
The investigation uncovered the identities of the teenagers involved.
The authorities apprehended one individual on December 16 and the other on December 18.
What’s next?
Authorities have filed charges against both individuals involved in the shooting incident. Due to their age of 16, their identities have not been disclosed to the public.
Both of them have been taken into custody and are currently being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. They were referred to authorities and are facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
