According to KTLA, authorities in Long Beach are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday night, which left two men injured due to gunfire.

Just before 10 p.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department were hailed near Alamitos Avenue and 5th Street. They were informed that an adult male was injured with a gunshot wound in his upper body.

The victim was given life-saving measures by the police until the arrival of medical personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department. The man was then immediately rushed to the hospital and fortunately, he was listed in stable condition.

As per the authorities, while the victim was being taken care of by the officers, another male victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower body. He had driven himself to the hospital and was reported to be in a stable condition.

The Citizen App shared a video of the occurrence, revealing that the site was swarming with police officers and firefighters.

According to the authorities, initial findings indicate that the two men were present at the Junipero Beach parking lot during the time of the gunfire. The investigators later found shell casings in the same area.

It remains unclear what led to the double shooting or whether the two victims had any prior connection to each other. The motive for the incident is yet to be determined.

If you have any information regarding the case, please reach out to the Long Beach Police Department as they continue to investigate the incident.
