An unlicensed driver from Colombia was detained after driving with her high beam headlights illuminated.
Stefany Marly Hernandez-Barrera, 23, of Windermere, was driving a silver Ford hatchback at approximately 8:30 p.m. She was pulled over on Tuesday, May 27, at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and East McClendon Street for a headlight violation, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. During a traffic stop, she was identified using her Colombian passport.
The officer discovered that Hernandez-Barrera did not have a driver’s license issued in the United States. She had no documentation showing an address in the United States but claimed she was living in an apartment in Windermere.
