Highways are deadly places. High speeds, inattentive drivers, and unexpected hazards may turn a straightforward journey down the freeway into a minefield of dangers. Worse, road rage is a common occurrence on American highways, and there is never a legitimate explanation. This is particularly evident when a hostile driver attempts to force a Tesla driver off the road simply because they are operating one of Elon Musk’s electric vehicles.

It’s not the best moment to drive a Tesla. Every day, you see headlines about vandalism targeting the brand’s vehicles and locations. Or worse. Oscar Fayani, 27, picked the latter option when he purposefully targeted a Tesla motorist on Interstate 80 in Utah.
Authorities in the area received several 911 calls reporting an emergency in broad daylight, triggering a police reaction. However, before the cops arrived, Fayani was causing havoc on the busy route. Witnesses say Fayani drove at speeds of up to 120 mph to annoy a Tesla driver. He reportedly maneuvered through traffic, tailgated drivers, and blocked other vehicles before focusing on the expensive EV.
The Tesla driver attempted to flee the road rager by leaving the freeway. However, Fayani followed the electric vehicle and proceeded to torment him. Fortunately, police caught up with Fayani and forced him to stop shortly after. To make matters worse, cops allegedly discovered cocaine during a search of the vehicle. Worse, Fayani had a revoked license. It will take some time for him to get back on the road.
This is far from the first time
Fortunately, this incident did not result in a fatality or major injury. However, it may have done. Worse, the incident is not the first time a furious motorist has targeted a driver because of their choice of electric vehicle.
A couple of months ago, a pickup truck driver in the Lone Star State attempted to run them off the road. Their only offense was operating a cybertruck. They were driving a Cybertruck. Apparently, there was enough motivation for the Texan to brake check and eventually try to drive the boxy, much-reviled EV off the road. You can express your ideas on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other topics. That does not excuse violence on the highway.
