A Virginia man is facing charges for reportedly traveling to Chambersburg to meet with a 14-year-old girl.

Steven Lee Gordon Fleenor, 20, was charged with corruption of juveniles (defendant age 18 or older) and criminal attempt-unlawful contact with minor-sexual offenses.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Chambersburg Police responded to a Target parking lot on Friday, March 21, and spoke with school police, the victim, and the victim’s mother.

School police called the victim’s mother when she failed to board her bus after school. According to records, authorities discovered the victim at Target before she met with Fleenor.

According to police, the victim and her pals visited Target after school to meet Fleenor. The two allegedly communicated via Snapchat, but the victim knew nothing about Fleenor apart from his first name.

Police claim Fleenor told the victim he was five minutes away but departed because police were nearby. He arrived at the Target around 20 minutes later.

Authorities say Fleenor drove more than six hours to see the victim, who he knew was 14 years old.

According to police, Fleenor admitted to considering getting a motel and sexual actions with the woman.

Fleenor is now housed in Franklin County Prison. He was unable to make bail.
