Pennsylvania State Police charged a woman with her third driving under the influence (DUI) offense after she nearly hit a patrol vehicle on Interstate 79, according to a news release.
Around 7:35 p.m., it occurred in the northbound lanes of the highway near the Interstate 90 interchange.
According to authorities, a vehicle swerved out of his lane and nearly struck the patrol car. According to state police, the driver, a 33-year-old woman from Erie, was intoxicated.
This was the woman’s third DUI in the last ten years, according to investigators. It was also her seventh time driving with a suspended license as a result of a previous DUI and her second time driving under the influence.
There are presently charges pending in this case.
