In Houston, a driver accused of fleeing the scene of a major accident was captured with the help of witnesses, according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 3. Deputies were called to Tidwell Road after a 2009 Honda Accord rear-ended a Toyota 4Runner and fled the scene.
Witnesses followed the fleeing vehicle and alerted deputies to its location. Authorities located the Honda Accord and its driver, Shawnterria Saulsberry, at the 12430 block of Tidwell Road. The driver of the Toyota was transported to an urgent care facility for injuries sustained in the accident. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has charged Saulsberry with “failure to stop and render aid.” She was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail without incident.
