Police released surveillance footage on Monday of a man wanted for slashing, beating, and robbing a woman at a Brooklyn subway station early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the suspect approached a 26-year-old woman as she walked down a stairway at the Chauncey Street subway station in Bushwick shortly after midnight.

According to officials, the suspect then displayed an unknown sharp item to slash the woman on the chin. He then pushed the victim to the ground, punching her repeatedly with a closed fist.

The suspect then stole the woman’s cell phone, debit card, headphones, and an unknown amount of cash, according to police.

He was last spotted exiting the metro station on foot, to parts unknown.

EMS transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, where she was treated for minor injuries.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
