Authorities announced on Sunday, January 12, that a homicide investigation has been initiated following the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old man in Norristown.
According to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele and Norristown Acting Police Chief James Angelucci, the fatal shooting took place around 7:34 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the victim lying in the street with a gunshot wound. Rescue personnel pronounced the guy dead on the scene despite their efforts. We are keeping his identity hidden until we can notify his next of kin.
Montgomery County Detectives and Norristown Police are collaborating on the investigation.
