Five suspects are under arrest after reportedly robbing a gas station, resulting in an evacuation and a brief standoff with officials in Casa Grande early Wednesday morning.

Suspects were identified as:

  • Keannia Dearing, 19
  • Deavazhae Bonner, 19
  • Jason Dalton, 19
  • Steven Mariscal, 21

A 15-year-old girl was also arrested, but her name and photo were not released because of her age. Mariscal’s booking photo was not available from authorities on Wednesday.

According to the Casa Grande authorities department, authorities were dispatched shortly before 2 a.m. about an armed robbery at the Sinclair gas station near Trekell and Kortsen roads. According to investigators, the suspects entered the business, grabbed various goods, and then departed without paying.

The employee apparently followed them outside, when one of the suspects turned around and fired two rounds at him. Fortunately, the victim was unharmed.

The suspects absconded from the store and made their way to the Agave House Apartments, situated across the service station.

Pinal Regional SWAT intervened after the group refused to leave the premises. During the crisis, authorities temporarily evacuated the complex.

Around 7 a.m., authorities were able to enter the residence and arrest all five people. Authorities also discovered a pistol inside the unit.

The five suspects will be booked into Pinal County adult and juvenile jail facilities on allegations of armed robbery.
