The Montgomery police are currently carrying out an investigation into a mass shooting that took place overnight. The incident resulted in 9 individuals being shot, with 4 others sustaining injuries.

The area of North Pass Road and Alabama River Parkway was reportedly the site of an incident at 1:46 a.m, according to officials.

Upon the arrival of officers and fire medics, they discovered a woman and a young male with gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening.

Three men, two women, and two young males were transported to a nearby hospital via a private vehicle after sustaining gunshot wounds. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening.

According to city officials, a vehicle collided with one adult female and two adult males as they were trying to escape the scene. Fortunately, their injuries were non-life threatening. In addition, an adult female sought treatment at the emergency room for minor injuries caused by broken glass.

Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed reported that a packed party in the North Pass area was hit with over 300 rounds of gunfire this morning. The resulting chaos left nine people wounded and at least four others injured. Witness and suspect interviews are currently being conducted by authorities from the Montgomery Police Department, ATF, and FBI. The officials are working diligently to identify those responsible and are urging anyone with information to come forward to help put an end to this kind of mindless and violent behavior.

There is currently no information available regarding any potential suspects.
