Julie Chrisley’s sentence for fraud allegations has been vacated by an appeals court.

According to  WSB-TV, Julie Chrisley’s sentence has been vacated by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Georgia.

According to the news outlet., court records state that after careful consideration and oral argument, the district court’s decision has been affirmed on all issues except for the loss amount attributed to Julie. However, the district court did not specify the evidence it relied on to hold Julie accountable for losses incurred before 2007, and it cannot be found independently in the record. Therefore, Julie’s sentence has been vacated, and the case has been remanded solely for the district court to make factual findings and calculations necessary to determine loss, restitution, and forfeiture as to Julie and to resentence her accordingly.

It remains uncertain when the resentencing of the defendant will take place, as stated by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The convictions of Todd and Julie Chrisley have been under appeal as they argue that federal prosecutors committed errors during their trial.

According to WSB, Todd and Julie Chrisley, along with their accountant Peter Tarantino, were found guilty in 2022 of conspiring to defraud banks and the IRS of millions of dollars. In the end, they were both sentenced to a combined 15 years in prison. Although their original sentence was 19 years, it was reduced to 12 for Todd and seven for Julie in 2023. Tarantino received a three-year sentence.

Todd Chrisley, his wife, children, and mother were popular figures on the reality TV show “Chrisley Knows Best,” which premiered in 2014. The show, which followed the family’s shenanigans, had a massive following, with millions of viewers tuning in. However, following the couple’s sentencing, the show, along with its spin-off “Growing Up Chrisley” and the upcoming dating show hosted by Todd Chrisley, “Love Limo,” was canceled last year as per Deadline reported.
