According to police, newly released footage displays the individuals responsible for assaulting a woman using a baseball bat on a street in New York City.

It seems like the individuals in the video are strolling down a sidewalk while one of them talks on the phone. It’s uncertain whether the footage was captured before or after the assault.

According to authorities, the assault on the woman occurred on Monroe Street in Lower Manhattan at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The authorities suspect that the perpetrators were attempting to snatch her bag, but they fled the scene without any loot.

According to CBS New York, the family of the victim stated that the perpetrator was scared off by the shouts of passersby and the brave actions of community members. They also mentioned that this timely intervention prevented the situation from escalating and potentially causing more harm.

In a statement, the family expressed their profound sorrow over the tragic and pointless act of violence. They emphasized the importance of sharing her story with the world to raise awareness and seek justice.
