The Home Depot Foundation has pledged $9 million towards building and repairing housing for veterans. This generous commitment will help provide safe and comfortable homes for those who served their country. The foundation has a long history of supporting veterans and their families, and this latest contribution is another example of their commitment to improving the lives of those who sacrificed so much for their country. Their dedication to this cause is truly inspiring and we hope others will follow their lead in supporting our veterans.

Home Depot Foundation commits $9 million for veteran housing

The Home Depot Foundation has recently allocated $9 million towards aiding housing for veterans.

Working in partnership with numerous non-profit organizations, including Volunteers of America, Housing Assistance Council, and Tunnel to Towers, among others, the funding secured will provide support for the construction of over 300 new housing units and the repair of almost 200 additional units, specifically for veterans who are experiencing homelessness. Furthermore, in collaboration with Community Solutions and other non-profit organizations, grants will be awarded to aid in securing existing housing for veterans. These grants will provide support for landlord incentive programs, research, and training on the housing needs of aging, rural, low-income, and disabled veterans.

Erin Izen, the executive director of the Home Depot Foundation, expressed a strong commitment towards ensuring the safety and comfort of our nation’s heroes. She emphasized that their investment is not limited to constructing buildings, but also focuses on instilling hope and providing the necessary security that every veteran deserves.
