Christina shared with her friend Jamie-Lynn Sigler on the recent episode of ‘MeSsy’ podcast that she is currently struggling with depression, which began after her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2021. The intensity of her depression is something that she hasn’t experienced in years.
In comparing her current state to her past, CA highlighted the difficulties that come with living in a disabled body. These challenges are ever-present and can be quite overwhelming at times.
Christina has been open about her mental health struggles, but she has come to accept that life will be challenging. She believes that having multiple sclerosis should not be a reason to stop living. During a conversation with Jamie-Lynn, Christina expressed her admiration for her friend, saying that Jamie-Lynn still has the ability to make her laugh like nobody else can. Christina also feels loved and happy in Jamie-Lynn’s company.
Christina has a track record of addressing challenging subjects with a great deal of courage. She has previously shared her experiences with an eating disorder and stomach problems while also managing her MS. However, her discussion of depression is perhaps the most significant topic she has tackled to date.

Christina initially hesitated to seek therapy, but she eventually took the step and booked herself an appointment with a therapist. Fortunately, it has been making a significant positive impact on her life months later.
