According to police, a 12-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly shot and killed a 14-year-old teenager in Brooklyn last Sunday.

According to police sources, Jasai Guy, a 14-year-old boy, was playing with a gun along with his cousin inside a fifth-floor apartment at the Howard Houses when the unfortunate incident took place. The teenager suffered a gunshot wound in his chest.

The teenager was quickly picked up by medics and transported to Brookdale University Hospital. Tragically, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to the neighbors, the young victim was a well-behaved child who loved spending time with his friends playing basketball on the nearby courts.

According to one neighbor, it is disheartening that children are unable to engage in outdoor or indoor play.

Only two weeks after a 30-year-old man was shot and killed, there was another shooting incident that took place just steps away from the previous incident over the weekend.

The man expressed his concern about the increasing involvement of young individuals in shooting incidents. He pointed out the age of a 14-year-old who was recently involved in such an incident and questioned where such individuals are coming from. Additionally, he emphasized the need to take action against the use of ghost guns that are prevalent in the area.

According to the most recent data released by the NYPD, there has been a significant increase in homicides in the 73rd precinct, which is where the tragic Brownsville shooting occurred on Sunday. As of now, there have been 12 reported murders this year, in contrast to only four during the same period last year.

According to the NYPD, a 12-year-old, whose identity remains undisclosed due to their age, is being charged with manslaughter, criminal neglect homicide, and criminal possession of a weapon.
