Ohioans are gearing up for harsh weather conditions this Independence Day, as the state is expected to experience two rounds of showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening. Wilmington, OH is bracing for the impact, as residents and visitors alike take necessary precautions to stay safe during this tumultuous weather.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington predicts that the initial round of storms will hit during the early afternoon, with a subsequent wave anticipated in the late afternoon and early evening. These storms are likely to bring intense precipitation and destructive winds, and there is a small likelihood of tornadoes, particularly in the southern and central regions of Ohio.

According to the Weather Prediction Center, the second round of storms poses a significant risk of localized flooding. It is important for residents in the affected areas, which includes major cities like Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati, to remain vigilant about the weather conditions and take appropriate measures to ensure their safety.
