Officials are labeling the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a deceased woman inside a burning motorhome in Rigby as suspicious. The woman’s identity has been established, but no further information has been released at this time.

The woman who passed away has been identified as Brook Thieman, aged 39 and hailing from Idaho Falls, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, July 6, at approximately 11:15 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a motor home on fire located on the 500 North block of 4200 East. Upon arrival, authorities discovered the remains of Thieman, who was found deceased inside the home.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, the fire seems to have been ignited under suspicious circumstances. The investigation is still ongoing.

Another woman was previously found dead on the property in May 2021. She was reported missing and discovered deceased inside a shed. Although her identity has not been disclosed, EastIdahoNews.com has requested records to obtain more details about the case.

If you possess any knowledge about the motor home case, kindly contact Jefferson County dispatch at (208) 745-9210 and select option 7.
