North Texas is set to experience a cold front that will arrive on Wednesday evening. There is a chance of a few showers on Wednesday and Thursday, and the weather will be cooler as a result.

As we move towards Wednesday evening, there’s a possibility of a front causing an increase in storm activity. The front is expected to push southwards overnight, which could lead to further storms.

The First Alert Weather team is closely monitoring the possibility of heavy rain in the southeast counties along the I-45 corridor on Thursday if the weather slows down. However, there could be a few afternoon showers coming in on a north wind otherwise.

Although Thursday doesn’t promise great rain chances, there is some fantastic news about cooler weather. Friday and Saturday are expected to be dry with just a slight increase in temperature.

On Sunday, a summer cold front will make its way to North Texas and come to a halt. As a result, there will be a high probability of rainfall and temperatures that are more reminiscent of the end of May than the middle of July.

In July, the average high temperature typically reaches around 96°-97° degrees. However, we may experience below-average temperatures for the following six days, or possibly even the entire month.

What a relief! According to the forecast, we can expect a prolonged respite from the scorching July heat. It’s definitely something to look forward to.

Get ready for the upcoming week with your seven-day forecast, which features a mix of weather conditions ranging from cooler-than-usual days to possible rainy days with temperatures reaching the 80’s.
