Several counties in the metro area have been issued an area flood warning until 8 p.m. today.

Kansas’ Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, and Wyandotte counties, as well as Missouri’s Jackson and Cass counties, are all encompassed within the flood warning.

The flash flood warning that expires at 8:30 this morning has been replaced by the flood warning.

There is a possibility of flooding in areas that are prone to floods, such as rivers, creeks, streams, and low-lying locations.

There has been a rainfall of between 3 to 4 inches, and fortunately, there is no chance of further precipitation.

It is highly advisable for residents to avoid waterways completely, and it is crucial for drivers to turn around and not attempt to cross flooded roads. This is an important safety measure that should not be taken lightly.
