The New York Police Department (NYPD) is currently conducting an investigation following an incident that resulted in the death of one individual and left three others wounded.

It is believed by authorities that the occurrence took place during a house party.

According to the police, a brawl erupted on the pavement outside the residence amidst a loud and disorderly gathering.

When authorities discovered Ashley Smith of Mount Vernon, she was unresponsive and had a slash across her neck. She was 37 years old.

Jacobi Hospital pronounced Smith dead after she was taken there.

At the moment, authorities have not made any statements regarding potential suspects or arrests in connection with the incident. Those who may have pertinent information are urged to contact the police promptly.
