A woman in Putnam County is now facing multiple drug charges after a routine traffic stop on Monday, as reported by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. During the stop, law enforcement discovered a wide variety of drugs in her possession.

Deputies from the PCSO made a routine stop on a U-Haul truck near Exit 290 in the county. It was discovered that the driver of the truck, Melinda Sharma, had outstanding warrants in another county.

During the search of the truck, deputies detected the distinct smell of marijuana emanating from it. Subsequently, they discovered and confiscated a total of 18 grams of suspected methamphetamine, around 20 grams of suspected marijuana, approximately seven grams of a brown powder substance, about 12 doses of suspected LSD, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of cash.

Sharma faces charges for manufacturing, selling, and delivering methamphetamine, as well as possessing drug paraphernalia. Her bond has been set at $17,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on July 22nd.
