On Friday, the BBC revealed that they are working on a documentary about the case of Georgia election interference, which they plan to name “State of Georgia v. Donald J. Trump.” The documentary will be feature-length.

According to a recent news release from the BBC, Georgia is not only a crucial swing state in the presidential election, but it is also where Trump is accused of attempting to overturn the 2020 election. As Trump gears up for the 2024 election, winning the Georgia vote is imperative. However, Trump and his 18 co-defendants must first face a criminal trial.

According to the BBC, they have been granted an exceptional level of access to the case, and their documentary delves into the crucial evidence surrounding what has been deemed the most brazen example of a criminal racketeering enterprise in American history.

According to reports from the British network, the upcoming film will showcase the involvement of “ordinary people doing extraordinary things” in the case. This includes the employees who recorded the infamous phone call between Trump and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, where Trump requested him to “find 11,780 votes.” Additionally, the foreperson who led the grand jury that indicted the former president and 18 others will also be highlighted in the documentary.

Marian Mohamed will be the director of the documentary.

“As a filmmaker, being at the heart of a story that has the potential to change the world we live in is an exhilarating experience. This moment in history is truly remarkable, and I feel privileged to be a part of it,” she expressed.”

The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
