A string of vehicle thefts, involving four separate police departments in Blair County, came to a close when authorities apprehended the suspect at a motel in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Angela Speight, a 35-year-old woman with no fixed address, was apprehended by the police at the Rodeway Inn in Altoona. She is now facing several charges, including theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

The thefts took place on November 28 and 29, 2024, at different locations in Allegheny Township, Blair Township, Logan Township, and the City of Altoona. Although all four departments were involved in investigating the thefts within their respective jurisdictions, the victim who had their credit card used at the Rodeway Inn alerted the Altoona police.

Logan Township police responded to reports of car break-ins in the parking lot of Rodeway Inn on November 29. Upon investigation, they found Speight in a room, in possession of a credit card belonging to one of the victims.

During the search of the room, authorities discovered several items that had been reported stolen during the series of thefts.

Speight faced charges of theft and was arraigned on January 15. Her bail was set at $75,000, and she is currently being held in Blair County Prison, according to court records.
