Chemist Testifies that Cocaine was Discovered in Hunter Biden’s Leather Gun Bag

On Friday, a forensic chemist testified that the white powder discovered in a brown leather pouch, which contained the gun that Hunter Biden allegedly obtained illegally, tested positive for drugs.

In Delaware federal court, chemist James Brewer stated to jurors, “I identified cocaine in the residual white powder that I sampled.”

According to the expert, the pouch contained a negligible amount of white powder, and the tests were conducted last year, five years after Biden allegedly lied on a federal form while purchasing a $5,000 gun. The form had asked him if he had a history of drug addiction.

During cross-examination, defense lawyer David Kolansky questioned, “Who put the residue there or when did it get there? You can’t date it, can you?”

Brewer stated that he could not analyze the pouch initially and did not test for fingerprints.

In court, Biden has denied three counts of possessing a firearm while under the influence of drugs. His legal team argues that at the time of filling out the form, he may not have intentionally provided false information as he was struggling with denial about his drug use.

During the trial, Hallie Biden, who is the sister-in-law and former girlfriend of Biden, testified that she discovered the gun in his truck and placed it inside his leather pouch. Later, she disposed of the pouch in a shopping bag and discarded it at a grocery store in close proximity to her home.

Hallie expressed her apprehension towards the dangerous situation, “I didn’t want him to hurt himself or my kids to find it and hurt themselves. I was too scared to even touch it. The whole experience left me feeling flustered and panicked, and I now understand that it was a foolish decision.”

Upon learning that she had discarded the gun, Biden first advised her to search for it. However, when she failed to locate it, he recommended that she report the missing firearm to the authorities given that it was registered under his name. The woman later testified that she eventually contacted the police as she was unable to find the weapon.

During the trial, Millard Greer testified as a police officer assigned to locate the gun that was used in the crime. According to him, the security footage revealed an elderly man near the trash can where Hallie had disposed of the weapon. Witnesses in the vicinity informed Greer that the man had a tendency to search through the garbage for recyclables. Eventually, after a few days, Greer was able to find the man scouring a strip mall.

During the trial, Edward Banner testified that he discovered a “thirty-eight special” in the garbage and decided to take it home. He informed the jury that he had a hobby of collecting recyclable items and transporting them to New York for financial gain.
