A Chicago woman is being jailed in Cook County Jail for the death of a two-month-old boy on the city’s Near West Side.
Lauryn Shakespeare, 24, a resident of the 100 block of North Ashland Avenue, is charged with murder in connection with the boy’s death.
At 5:45 p.m. on June 3, members of the Chicago Police Department and the United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force detained Shakespeare at her home.
She is accused of the murder of a 2-month-old infant on June 2 in the 100 block of North Ashland Avenue.
The culprit was taken into jail and charged.
She is expected to appear in court on June 26.
