On January 15, 2025, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a robbery report at the CVS in the 5600 block of FM 1960 Road W. Employees said the man fled the site on foot after completing the heist. Deputies soon tracked down the culprit and captured him. They recognized him as David Colbert, 39, a convicted offender.
The examination indicated that Colbert had hidden products and bypassed all points of sale without paying. When a cashier attempted to stop him, Colbert dropped the stolen things, which the cashier recovered and put behind the counter. Colbert then attacked the cashier with a closed fist and seized the stolen products before departing the business.
Authorities arrested David Colbert and placed him in the Harris County Jail on charges of robbery with bodily injury. The 248th District Court set his bond at $10,000.
