An investigation has been launched following the tragic death of a man who was working along I-45 on Tuesday afternoon in Dickinson, Texas.
According to the Dickinson Police Department, a call was received shortly before 2 p.m. reporting an injured construction worker in the 3400 block of the Gulf Freeway.
Upon their arrival, the police officers discovered that the worker had tragically lost their life in an incident involving a collapsed crane from a Boom Truck at the job site.
SkyEye captured footage of a distressing incident where a male employee was struck by a large crane at the scene.
The accident site, which is an elevated portion of the road, is currently closed off to traffic due to ongoing construction as part of the I-45 Expansion Project for FM 517. However, there have been no significant disruptions to traffic as a result of the accident.
