A man, aged 45, is facing charges in Georgia and Tennessee for allegedly stealing both an air conditioning unit and a truck from a church.

According to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson, William Michael Crawley was stopped by deputies in Walker County on Sunday. The reason for the stop was that Crawley was driving a truck that had been reported stolen from Hamilton County.

According to the sheriff, the truck was identified as the one that was connected to the theft of an HVAC unit at Mission Glen Baptist Church on Happy Valley Road in Rossville on August 11th.

Crawley faces multiple charges including theft by taking, criminal damage to property, theft by bringing stolen property into the state, being a fugitive from another state, an open container violation, and possession of methamphetamine.

According to Sheriff Wilson, Crawley has been apprehended and is currently in custody in Walker County. He is being held on a bond amounting to $7,639.50. Once Crawley is able to post this bond, he will be extradited to Hamilton County.
