On Sunday night, a tragic incident occurred as the helicopter collided with a radio tower located near 300 North Ennis Street.

Houston Police Chief Noe Diaz stated that the helicopter had departed from Ellington Field and was en route to an undisclosed location when it experienced a crash.

According to HPD, there were four individuals, including a child, who were believed to have been on the helicopter that crashed. This confirmation was made on Monday morning.

Authorities have advised that if members of the public discover any pieces of the helicopter, they should refrain from touching them and instead contact the police or firefighters for assistance in retrieving them. They anticipate that these pieces may be found in the morning when the sun rises.

Multiple agencies are currently investigating the crash, including the FAA, NTSB, DPS, HPD, and HFD.
