On Thursday morning, a burglary was reported on the east side of Indianapolis. According to reports, two individuals cleared out the shelves of a grocery store. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the incident.

At approximately 7:36 a.m., a report was made to IMPD regarding a situation at the Food Mart on E 21st Street. Upon arrival, law enforcement found two suspects, a man and a woman, who are currently under investigation.

As per a recent news release, the pair managed to pilfer $7,000 from a cash register, along with tobacco products worth approximately $1,000, and various groceries valued at around $2,000.

According to IMPD, the grocery shelves were completely cleared out, but they haven’t finished taking inventory to determine exactly what was stolen. Fortunately, no weapons were present at the location during the incident.

At present, the authorities have not released the names of the two suspects involved in the case. It is important to note that the investigation is still ongoing and updates will be provided as they become available.

If any additional information is made available, this story will be updated accordingly.
