In a daring attempt to evade arrest, a man from Dayton, Ohio, made a desperate move by trying to drive his vehicle off a tow truck in Indiana.

According to a release, on Friday, January 10th, Trooper Carlson of the Indiana State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on I-65 Southbound.

The crash investigation revealed that the driver had been dishonest about his identity and was actually a wanted criminal in Ohio for violating probation related to previous violent offenses.

As officers attempted to apprehend him, the man resisted and swiftly dashed across each lane of I-65, endangering multiple vehicles amidst the harsh weather conditions.

After veering off the road and into a ditch, the driver swiftly made his way through a field. Trooper Carlson swiftly readied his K9 partner, Cooper, to pursue the fleeing suspect as he emerged from the ditch and dashed across the interstate once more.

The driver attempted to flee by driving his car off the tow truck, but eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.

The man who was identified as Carlos Sept from Dayton was 52 years old.

After conducting a more thorough investigation and receiving a positive alert from K9 Cooper, it was discovered that Sept had marijuana and suspected heroin in their possession.

The probation violation mentioned in the release was deemed non-extraditable.

Sept found himself in the confines of Jasper County Jail, facing a set of preliminary charges.
