The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports a deputy stopped a black Jeep on May 30 about 5:30 p.m. for exceeding the legal speed limit of 60 miles per hour on US 30.
According to the report, the deputy discovered that the driver, 31-year-old Indianapolis resident Shawn C. Allen Jr., had consumed alcohol.
According to the report, Allen agreed to undergo field sobriety tests as well as a verified breath test.
Allen was determined to be inebriated and tested at 0.10 percent.
Allen faced arrest for operating while intoxicated, reckless driving, speeding, and possessing an open container of alcohol.
The court issued Allen a court date and set a cash bail of $1500.
