Police have identified the man accused of pushing a 60-year-old man to the ground and stealing his wallet.

The West York Borough Police Department announced that Adonis Pastrana-Dominguez, 22, of Mexico, had been arrested.

In addition to the robbery charges, police stated the man will be kept on an immigration detainer owing to his “‘undocumented’ status.”

“Put bluntly, he will not be getting out of jail and the public is safe,” West York Borough Police said in a Facebook post.

Officers initially urged the public for assistance in identifying the culprit on Monday, claiming he pulled down the guy in the 1200 block of West Market Street before fleeing.

Police stated that further information would be released later.
