Missouri’s minimum wage has seen a substantial increase of over 60% since 2015, and it is projected to experience a near-100% increase by 2026.

On November 5th, Proposition A was approved by Missouri voters, signaling an upcoming raise in the state’s minimum wage. Starting from the current rate of $12.30 per hour, the minimum wage will be increased to $13.75. This change will come into effect on January 1st, 2025.

On New Year’s Day of 2026, the minimum wage in Missouri will increase to $15 per hour.

Proposition A mandated that all employers must provide one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked. In addition, the Department of Labor was given the authority to enforce these new laws. However, there are exceptions for government employers and individuals working in public or private education.
