PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. — A woman from Arizona City who had been missing since July 19 was found deceased on Monday.
The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office had been searching for 59-year-old Mary Duarte since her disappearance on July 19. An alert was issued, urging the public to watch for Duarte or her vehicle.
The search concluded on July 22 when Duarte was discovered with her car about a mile off the road from Sunland Gin and Pretzer roads, in a remote area south of Arizona City and west of Picacho Peak.
The PCSO reported that the medical examiner is working to determine the cause of Duarte’s death.
