On Tuesday afternoon, authorities located 17-year-old Nathan Rice, who had been reported missing in Woodland Park just the day before.

On Tuesday, Nathan was discovered at Forest Service Rd. 314. Reports indicate that he was found to be dehydrated and may have experienced heat exposure.

Nathan was reported to be receiving assistance from medical units on their way.

At 6:37 in the morning on Tuesday, Nathan’s parents contacted the Teller County Sheriff’s Office to report that their son had gone missing.

According to the sheriffs, Nathan didn’t take his cell phone, keys, and wallet with him as he left them at home.

On social media, the sheriff’s office posted that the missing person was last seen at home in Woodland Park at 10 pm on July 8th. The person is described as 5’11” tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown shaved hair, and brown eyes. They were last seen wearing a plaid button-up shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots. If you come across this missing person, kindly reach out to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office at (719) 687-9652.

Community members played a crucial role in the search and rescue efforts for Nathan as they provided valuable tips and sightings to the sheriffs.
