According to the National Weather Service, five tornadoes were confirmed to have hit southeast Texas over the weekend. The affected counties included Waller, Montgomery, Brazoria, Galveston, and Chambers County.

Saturday in southeast Texas was a day of intense weather activity. ABC13 issued a Weather Alert Day as several counties experienced strong winds, hail, and the possibility of tornadoes.
The National Weather Service started issuing multiple rounds of tornado warnings for areas in Harris, Brazoria, Montgomery, Waller, Galveston, and Chambers counties shortly before noon.
A potential tornado was spotted just a few miles outside the Katy area at approximately 11 a.m.
The Cy-Fair Fire Department took to social media to inform the public about reports of tornadic activity in the vicinity of Hockley and the Bridgeland areas.
The Emergency Office of Montgomery County sprung into action when they spotted a funnel near Porter Heights, close to Highway 242.
Damage has been observed in Brazoria and Montgomery counties thus far.
