According to the NYPD, early Monday morning, two tourists were pushed onto the train tracks at a subway station in Manhattan.

According to police, at around 2:15 a.m., on the northbound platform of the F line at Delancey Street/Essex Street station, a woman pushed two 28-year-old women onto the tracks.

Authorities have reported that officers who were already stationed at the location took the suspect into custody.

The NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue provided medical attention to both individuals who sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have stated that the suspect is facing pending charges. The police are currently investigating the case to determine if there was any prior relationship between the two women and to establish a motive for the crime.
