Officials revealed on Tuesday that the tragic death of an eighth-grade student from Westchester County was the result of a freak accident in which he was thrown from his e-bike while riding. The incident occurred when the student crashed into a parking garage, ultimately falling from a height of five stories.

According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, on Sunday around 5:45 p.m., Mark Anthony Giordano, who was only 13 years old, was riding his bike with a group of five friends on the roof of a garage located at the Harrison Metro-North station on Halstead Avenue. Unfortunately, he fell over the side of the building.

According to the statement, they found his body on the ground nearby. He was immediately taken to White Plains Hospital by first responders, but was declared dead upon arrival.

A video has captured the moment when a deer crashed through the windshield of a bus, but the driver kept their cool and continued on their route.

According to the MTA, there were no other children harmed in the incident and there is no suspicion of any foul play by authorities.

The investigation of the incident is still ongoing by the agency.

Aaron Donovan, the spokesperson for MTA, stated that the organization will examine the findings of the investigation once they become accessible.

A teenager from America tragically fell over 300 feet to her death while hiking with a friend’s family, according to officials.

Sources informed The Post that the incident occurred when the children were performing stunts with e-bikes on the highest floor of the parking garage. According to the sources, the bike of the middle schooler hit a wall and overturned, causing him to fall off the roof.

During his time at Louis M. Klein Middle School, Mark was a talented student-athlete who excelled in both wrestling and football. He participated in both sports with great enthusiasm and dedication.

Frank Barchella, the organizer of an online fundraiser for the family of the boy who passed away, expressed his grief over the loss of a gentle soul and dedicated friend. Despite knowing him for a short time, he was deeply impacted by his presence and will miss him dearly.

“We aim to help Mark’s family in laying him to rest and covering any expenses they may face during this difficult time.”

Since its launch, the GoFundMe page has managed to raise over $119,000.

If you’re a student, teacher, or parent in need of assistance, the Harrison Central School District has resources available to help.
