In preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Debby in Florida, Ohio Task Force 1 has been activated and is ready to assist. The team is on standby and prepared to provide aid and support to those affected by the hurricane. Their expertise and experience in emergency response will be crucial in providing aid to those in need.
The team departed from their Vandalia headquarters on Sunday night, and they will be staging on the Atlantic coast until they receive their assignment.
47 members, which will consist of two K-9 handler/dog teams, are set to be deployed.

According to the National Weather Service, Florida may face severe consequences as Hurricane Debby, presently located in the Gulf of Mexico, may bring more than twelve inches of rainfall. There is a possibility of flash and urban flooding, as warned by the National Weather Service.
