Officials have reported that a tourist from Ohio was bitten by an unknown creature while playing football in knee-deep water at a Florida beach on the Fourth of July.

According to officials, the young man from Ohio was enjoying a game of football in knee-deep water at New Smyrna Beach when a shark attacked and bit his right foot.

According to authorities, the assault occurred on the Fourth of July at 4 p.m.

The injured man received medical attention for his non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police reported that four people were attacked by sharks at a Texas beach on the Fourth of July.

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Larry Paci captured an image of New Smyrna Beach, Florida during the spring break. The photo provides a general view of the location and showcases the beauty of the area.

On the same day, a beach in Texas witnessed four people being injured before the Fourth of July shark attack occurred.

According to officials from the South Padre Island Police Department and the U.S. Coast Guard Atlantic Area, an ocean predator injured four individuals on South Padre Island located on the southern coast of the state.

According to the authorities, the assaults took place around 11 a.m. in the vicinity of Wanna Wanna Beach Bar and Grill, specifically on Beach Access 14.

Following the recent declaration of Florida as the shark capital of the world, a 21-year-old had a shark encounter.

According to the International Shark Attack File at the Florida Museum of Natural History, Florida has the highest number of unprovoked shark attacks in the world. Volusia County, in particular, has witnessed 351 such incidents since the year 1882.
