OKC police identify suspect and victim in early morning shooting on Black Friday

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Police have released the identities of the suspect and victim involved in a fatal shooting early on Black Friday.

Authorities responded to a disturbance around 2 a.m. near Southeast 44th Street and Sunnylane Road, where one person had been shot.

The victim, identified as 24-year-old Timothy Brown, arrived at a residence and was confronted by its occupants. During the altercation, 21-year-old Ladarius Crutchfield fired shots, striking Brown.

Brown was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Crutchfield was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder.

The investigation remains in its early stages. Police urge anyone with information to contact the homicide tipline at 405-297-1200.
