The Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) shared a remarkable incident where a routine welfare check transformed into a timely rescue.

On November 10th, Officer Reyes conducted a welfare check on a man who was reported to be on a bridge at South Pennsylvania and Exchange Avenue, according to the police.

OKCPD stated that when the officer arrived at the scene, they approached a man who seemed to be sleeping on the edge of the bridge. Suddenly, the man rolled to his side and fell off the ledge.

Officer Reyes acted swiftly, seizing the man by his sweatshirt and arm, ensuring his safety. According to the police, a jogger who happened to be nearby witnessed the entire incident and immediately joined Reyes in rescuing the man.

Luckily, the man emerged unharmed from the incident and was provided transportation back to his loved ones.
