According to the latest AARP voter survey data released on Wednesday, Donald Trump is currently ahead of President Joe Biden by 9 percentage points among voters aged 50 and above in Arizona.

According to the survey, Trump has a lead over the President with 52% of the votes compared to the President’s 43%. However, the results show that both candidates are almost equal in terms of support from women voters in the same age group.

According to Bob Ward, a partner at Fabrizio Ward who conducted a poll in conjunction with Impact Research, the majority of voters in Arizona will be those aged 50 and above. As per their survey, this demographic will make up 55% of the voters, which is consistent with the numbers from the previous year.

The majority of the Arizona electorate is comprised of this significant voter bloc, which holds immense power in deciding the outcome of the battleground state.

The survey revealed that voters aged 50 and above ranked immigration, the economy, inflation, and social security as their top concerns.

According to Ward, three out of four older voters in Arizona who consider social security as a crucial matter are in favor of Trump. As someone who has been in the political arena for quite some time, Ward believes that social security is generally associated with the Democratic Party, rather than the Republican Party. She mentioned that this fact should serve as a significant wake-up call to the Biden campaign.

In conversations with ABC15, voters expressed a desire for a president who will take on the issue of border security and work towards achieving international peace amidst ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Israel. Additionally, voters emphasized the importance of bringing down the costs of everyday necessities such as groceries and gas.

According to ABC15, an 87-year-old man named Gene expressed his concern over the financial struggles faced by Americans. He stated that last year, the raise on disability was merely $4, which he finds insufficient. He believes that Americans should be taken care of first, as they are struggling to afford basic necessities such as gas for their vehicles and rent for their apartments. Despite his age, Gene has never been more concerned about the state of his country and believes that Trump is needed urgently to address these issues.

Steven is in search of a candidate who possesses the ability to restore Democracy.

According to ABC15, Steven, an Arizona voter, shared that Biden is known for his empathetic nature and his desire to alleviate people’s struggles.

According to the survey, 22% of voters aged 50 and above are open to voting for candidates outside of their party line. This indicates that there is a significant number of individuals who can be swayed to support a different political stance.

According to Ward, a significant portion of the electorate remains open to hearing candidates’ messages, even if they may have not yet decided on which party to support or which specific race to vote for. “It’s not uncommon for people to be undecided or considering candidates from both parties,” Ward stated. This suggests that there is still room for candidates to make an impact on potential voters and sway them towards their platform.

According to the survey, the Democrat Ruben Gallego is currently ahead of Republican Kari Lake in Arizona’s senate race. Among all likely voters aged 18 and older, Gallego is leading with 48%, while Kari Lake is trailing behind with 45%.
