Growing up in Texas, we all made our fair share of foolish mistakes, some of which we still regret today. However, these blunders shouldn’t prevent us from warning the younger generation about the perils associated with similar actions. Take, for instance, experimenting with drugs.

Based on our own experiences, we understand the potential harm it can cause. Despite our best efforts to guide them in the right direction, young people often disregard our advice. When you consider the influence of social media, which they are particularly drawn to, it becomes an even more dangerous mix.

We used to achieve that euphoric feeling by doing simple things like sniffing glue, spray paint, or markers. We took this action because, at the time, we lacked the knowledge necessary to understand how harmful it actually was. Some of us quickly stopped doing it.

Unfortunately, some people were unable to break the habit and switched to stronger and more harmful drugs. Even though those techniques are very old, teenagers continue to utilize them today. However, they have a new term for it, chroming, and platforms like TikTok to showcase their use of it. Unfortunately, it has become lethal.
