Three boys, aged 12 to 15, are currently hospitalized after being shot by a man whom Harris County investigators suspect they tried to rob at gunpoint on Christmas evening.

The shooting took place at the Willow Plaza Apartments on N. Houston Rosslyn Road near Smiling Wood.

ABC13 interviewed the girlfriend of the 25-year-old man who allegedly shot the three boys, speaking with her off camera.

According to her, the couple was on their way back from a Christmas party when the incident occurred.

At first, she mentioned that her boyfriend believed the robbery was a prank due to the young age of the boys.

A 12-year-old boy is said to be in critical condition, according to authorities.

Monique Robledo, a resident of Willow Plaza, expressed her belief that individuals of a certain age should spend time with their families.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office public information officer stated that the individual, who is 25 years old, fully cooperated with the investigators. Currently, no charges have been filed against him.
