Two Shreveport firefighters who were arrested on Tuesday night are currently being held in Bossier Parish on theft charges.

State police have announced the arrests of Kadarrius Cole, 27, and Trayvious Johns, 23, both residents of Shreveport. These arrests are a significant development in an ongoing investigation, according to authorities.

LSP’s investigative team is actively working on the case, according to Troop G PIO Eddie Thomas.

According to Thomas, additional details will be shared as soon as they become accessible.

The Shreveport Fire Department stated on Tuesday night that it is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Fire Chief Clarence Reese Jr. expressed his deep concern over the situation, emphasizing that it goes against the values and dedication of the department. He further emphasized their commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. Assuring that they would fully cooperate with the Louisiana State Police’s ongoing investigation, Chief Reese made it abundantly clear that their firefighters are not exempt from the law.

Cole and Johns have been working for the fire department since 2022. SFD is currently verifying the employment status of the two firefighters.
